Default Smite run issue?

Has anyone else noticed that there are several more graspings at the beginning of the UW, and an insanely large number of smites now? Normally, I wouldn't complain, but I can't seem to find a group with fewer than 6 smites, which seems to be impossible to kill useing a VwK W/Rt. Any ideas?

i don't have a problem, usually only two groups of three graspings and one group of four in the begining, and i've only had a group of 5 smites at the max (unless i get aggroed by two groups). If thats the case i usually just break aggro and try again.

Well, I hope it was just that run. Killing a group of 7 graspings wasnt fun, and massive amounts of smites, well, actually horrible >.<

you probably got 2 mobs in one. Before the nerf to SV/AV people did both at once to save time. I personally play it safe now. 1 mob at a time, if u run far enough the middle group will leave (thats not always good)

Nope, it wasn't multiple groups. I ran off, they scattered, I pulled one, and 6 others came running. Thankfully, it was just that run.

I have noticed that when doing multiple UW solo smite runs, i come across weird behavior every so often.

Like smites attacking coldfires, or smite mobs attacking other smite mobs. Sometimes i just have weird spawns were it seems like 3-4 seperate mobs are in the same spot and i try to pull when which ends up pulling them ALL (like 10-16 smites!)!!

I find if you have pulled smites and it looks like there is a 2nd mob that got aggroed with them, just take off running using your running skill, then as they turn back just try and aggro the lagging smites and pull them back. This should get only one of the groups. If they don't seperate during this first attempt, just keep running back, losing aggro, aggroing the lollygaggers, pulling them back, and repeat until only one mob comes (3-5 smites).

cheers!

i always see that rouge group of smites. they usually destroy 1 group of smites before the coldfires destroy them. every once in awhile the rouge smites get to the coldfires first and kill them and then a group of smites attacks them while they are weak.

I'm noticing alot of smite groups with 4-6 now....Oh well, they scatter, but you can still kill them. More smites = more ecto anyway

Agreed on the more ecto but it is starting to get really irritating when the smites break aggro from the monk and go after the necro instead

We sat trying to kill a bunch of 5 smites where 2 would either go for the necro or they would just run away to come back 5 mins later. Need to find a way to beter manage this or i'm going to pull my hair out

I was doing the W/me build and i could tank 15 smites pretty easy. havn't tried it lately but during the 1st test weekend it was also possible so i don't know why it shouldn't be now. so maybe that is the build u need to use when u repetetly come across large groups of smites.

Glyph of Concentration FTW!! -- Pwned

3-4 graspings, 3 groups
3-5 smites per group

I've done near 120 runs as a E/Me and I haven't noticed any difference. I always pulled the grasping on the left side first when the groups combined (usually 7) and hit the right side for the other 3-4.

First smite group is usually 3-5, other groups are usually 3-5.
I've always had 1 in every 3-4 runs 1 smite group attack another, attack coldfires *OR* if I pulled 2 groups they start fighting (In that case I just start attacking with sandstorm so I get drops lol)(No attack = no drops).

But I have noticed they fixed it then what it was early last week. It was noted in the ele/me UW solo build located in this farming area, smites dropped crazy ectos (In 4-5 runs I picked up 10 ectos with 2 runs of 4) and it was also noted that the nightmares dropped 2 things instead of one (which they never did before) but they are now back to 1 thing dropped and ectos don't drop as often (But I did have 2 in 2 runs - I dont do it often anymore)

So i would say nothing has changed.

i encountered this a week back, some of the enemies like smites and graspings were dropping 2 items each for me, for example i would get two demonic remains from 1 grasping or i would get 212 gold pieces from one smite, too bad this lasted only one day
and as far as i can tell uw is back to normal... for me anyways however sometimes i encounter frozen groups of coldfires who will not move, i then have to aggro them and sprint awayand then they continue their patrols normally

i think this is becuase the smites use zealots fire, so the colds take damage, therefore attack..

That would make sense, but its always in the same spot that this occurs for me. If it were due to the fact of the zealots fire then it should be able to happen anywhere there are smites and coldfires next to each other.

yea i have seen this once or twice, quite annoyed at it tbh, less that die from me (and ss) killing them the less drops we get = less chance of any ecto

maybe there just confused lol.
